Dennis Parren: CMYK Lamp

English designer Dennis Parren graduated in 2011 from the Design Academy Eindhoven with a handful of wonderful projects playing with color. He is now showing his CMYK Lamp with the D3 contest at the Imm Cologne fair.

Using LEDs the CMYK lamp is an exploration on light and color. He doesn't go into details on how it works, but I am hoping he is working with complimenting shadows -- for example let's say he is shining say a red light and then the shadow would come out green. Either way, the airy design is very whimsical collage of form, which may not be the most functional design for a lamp but definitely an ambient statement piece.
