Doshi Levien: Impossible Wood

Impossible Wood by the London based duo,Doshi Levien, is made of 80% wood fiber and 20% polypropylene. The design of this 'wooden' chair for Moroso couldn't be made any other way than injection molding. I think it's great that the heat from injecting the material causes a reaction of the surface of the mold making the final material appear leather-like.
