Hudson Bay Point Blankets

These colorful Hudson Bay Point blankets were first given to the Aboriginal people of Canada from the Europeans in the 1780s as a form of trade for beaver pelts. These durable blankets have been used for many things besides keeping people warm -- I read that some people use them to stop leaks in their canoe! Most recently I have been seeing an abundance of these blankets in interior design magazines and design editorials.
