Mieke Meijer: Winding Tower Desk 01

Dutch designer, Mieke Meijer, was inspired by the industrial architectural forms found in the late 19th century. For this project in particular, she was inspired by an image of a winding tower that was shot by the German photography duo Bernd and Hilla Becher. Besides the form, I think the design of the desk is interesting because it brings to attention that we not only work there but also showcase our favorite things. (Mine desk would showcase a photo of the late Lenny Bacich and my childhood dog Prince).
